Short answer: You do not need to arrive with a finished script. Script development or refinement can be included when stated in the selected package or signed Order.
Most founders and brand leaders come to Pluto with a clear idea of what they want to say, but not the words or the structure to say it on film. That’s the normal starting point—and it’s exactly why the team exists.
How the Script Gets Built
The process starts with a conversation. You share what the film needs to do: introduce your brand, show how the product works, tell a customer story, or make an emotional connection. You explain who’s watching, what you want them to feel, and what you want them to do next. The team listens, asks clarifying questions, and then writes.
The script that comes back is written for film—not a voiceover read from a page, but language that lands naturally when spoken, combined with visual direction that shows rather than tells. It’s shaped around real pacing, breath, and the way people actually talk.
If you already have a script, Pluto’s writers will read it, understand the intent, and either refine what’s there or start fresh if the direction needs to change. Rewriting for the camera and the ear is part of the craft.
Why This Matters
A weak script kills a strong idea before filming even starts. A script written for reading aloud—dense, abstract, full of business jargon—will sound stiff on camera and won’t move the viewer. The best brand films feel alive because the script was written by someone who understands how language behaves in the frame, how silence works, and where the camera should cut.
Many founders try to save money by writing their own scripts or asking a junior team member to handle it. The result is usually longer, more cluttered, and less persuasive than it needs to be. The viewer drifts. The call-to-action gets buried. The film works harder and lands softer.
Review stages
Review stages: Review stages and revision entitlements are package-specific and confirmed in the signed Order. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.
Licensing: Final deliverables and the applicable usage license transfer after full payment, subject to the signed Order and any identified third-party components.
The Practical Side
Timing: Each package has its own delivery window. Current launch-package windows are listed on Pricing; every project schedule is confirmed in writing after brief and asset review.
Rights in the approved script and film follow payment status, the applicable usage license, signed Order, and any identified third-party terms.
